When I was at the market this morning I saw some amazing looking salmon and picked it up. Teriyaki one of my favorite ways of cooking salmon and it is really simple to make. When I got home from the market I made some teriyaki sauce. I then removed the bones from the salmon and placed it in the fridge in a ziplock bag with the teriyaki sauce to marinade. Several times during the day I changed the position of the salmon so that it marinated all over. When I pulled the salmon out of the fridge to cook it had taken on a nice brown colour as the teriyaki sauce had soaked in.
Juicy salmon marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce and broiled to perfection.

Total Time: 15 minutes
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons mirin
- 3 tablespoons sake
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 (6 ounce) cuts salmon
- Heat in the soy sauce, mirin, sake and sugar in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved and let cool.
- Place the salmon and teriyaki sauce in a ziplock bag and let marinate in the fridge for a least 30 minutes.
- Cook the salmon in a preheated oven set to broil for 5-10 minutes. Pour some of the marinade over the salmon several times while cooking.
- Place the salmon on a plate and pour some of the teriyaki sauce from the bottom of the pan on top of the salmon.
