Asparagus Roundup

Asparagus is one of my favorite vegetables and with the season in full swing now I have been doing a lot with it. Both last week and this week I came home with no less than 4 bunches of asparagus! While I take a break from posting about my adventures with asparagus last week and before I start cooking up the asparagus that I picked up this morning, I thought that I would take a moment to share some of my favorite asparagus recipes with you. Asparagus is so versatile and you can do so much with it that I am sort of glad that there is a fairly long period of time from when the asparagus shows up in spring until summers produce starts to flood in so that I have the time to fully enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing all these wonderful recipes. Love asparagus but they are quite expensive so I don't cook them often.

So many delicious ways to eat one of my favorite vegetables! I'm going to splurge on a bunch of asparagus at some point this week; now to decide which recipes to use them in!

I just wanted to say that I've tried a number of your recipes after seeing them on foodgawker and they're always delicious. Now when I see that a recipe comes from your blog, I know it's worth trying, sooner rather than later!

Great post! I have an asparagus roundup of my own drafted - I'll have to put a link to yours under "many more amazing recipes." :)
I got asparagus at the farmers market again today and noticed quite a few black things on the spears, which the Internet confirmed are asparagus beetle eggs. Do you ever see these on your asparagus? Do you just eat them, scrape them off, or what?

Katie Mae: Luckily I have not seen sparagus beetle eggs on asparagus yet.

Fantastic list of recipes to choose from. I typically steam or grill asparagus, so I'm looking forward to trying the grilled cheese sandwich. I'll bet I can even get the family to eat it wrapped in a gooey sandwich.
