Recipe Box Feature

A while ago I added the Recipe Box feature, the My Recipe Box link in the menu at the top of Closet Cooking, that allows you to easily save recipes to your recipe box, create meal plans and automatically generate grocery lists. These features are provided by ZipList and they have an app so you can take your recipes, meal plan and grocery list with you on your phone when you go shopping!

For those of you that have been using these features, I would love to hear your opinions on it! Do you like it? What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? What would you like to see improved? etc.

For those of you that have not used these features, try adding a few of your favourite Closet Cooking recipes to your recipe box with the Save Recipe button, make a meal plan and create a grocery list. Once you have added the recipes to your box you can see them in the My Recipe Box menu item at the top of Closet Cooking.

this is a great feature. I was scared at first, but there are quite a few recipe blogs out there that make this very easy.

It's been fantastic. It's nice not to have a zillion bookmarks in a hundred folders anymore; now it's all in one handy-dandy place. Makes hunting for that random recipe you saved a while back and now can't quite remember where much easier!

Um, is there a select all option to add your recipes? LOL. Great tool, thanks for the introduction.

I love it, I use it all the time. Ziplist is becoming my go to app since I can store my recipes and do my planning on the same app.

I really really like it, it provides a nice overview and it's practical that other recipe blogs use it as well.

Hello! This feature looks great! I just remembered your blog (which my boyfriend mentioned to me about 4 (?) years ago because he liked your simple Mexican dishes) and came back looking for ideas. I used to follow this blog a bit but ended up having a messy bunch of bookmarks which I couldn't remember what they were... but this will be very useful! Also thanks for keeping up the great work =)

Love ZipList! In fact, I found your blog through their weekly 12 recommended recipes. I live alone and for many years used the "freezer to microwave to table" cooking method. Recently, though, I caught the cooking-bug again....started Googling....found ZipList....the rest is history. Easy to add a recipe to the box, plan menus, build a shopping list, and link back to the original recipe when ready to cook. Great, too, to have it all accessible from my phone, tablet, laptop, and even my PC at work! THANK YOU for adding the option!!!

Now.....I'll get back to browsing your recipes! :)
