While I was enjoying my first Cuban sandwich earlier in the week, I was thinking abut how pork heavy the sandwich was with roast pork and ham and I could not resist the temptation to add some salty smoked bacon the the next one to make for an amazing pork trifecta!
A tasty Cuban sandwich with roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
- 1 bun, cut in half
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 2 slices of swiss cheese
- 2 slices roast pork or 1/4 cup pulled pork preferably Cuban roast pork
- 2 slices ham, cooked
- 2 slices pickle
- Assemble the sandwich and grill in a panini press over medium heat until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes per side.
Option: Add a tablespoon of Cuban mojo for an extra kick!
Option: Add 2 strips bacon for a pork trifecta!
