Up next for my NOLA Mardi Gras theme is a quick and easy cajun/creole spiced shrimp fettuccine alfredo. I really cannot express just how quick and easy this dish is, you pretty much just season the shrimp with a cajun seasoning, cook it in a pan, make the alfredo sauce with cream and parmesan and you are done in less time than it takes to cook the pasta. Despite how easy this dish is, it is also super tasty, I mean you really cannot go wrong with alfredo pasta but then you add some cajun seasoned shrimp and thing only get better! This cajun spiced shrimp fettuccine alfredo is a great weeknight meal for the family but it is also sure to impress guests!

I love all Italian food!! I should have been born with Italian genes since if I see it on a menu, I’ve got to order it. Now a chance to cook it from scratch is a dream come true!!❤❤❤ I’ll probably gain 50#…hopefully not. Keep up the great work finding all these wonderful recipes.

This in not Italian it is Cajun.

MI know my boys would love this! Going to have to try to make a lightened up version for myself ;).
Helen Adair says
How would you lighten this up
Maria says
Wow, what a rich pasta dish! nice!
Helen Rodgers says
My favourite pasta dish (till now) is the Pasta Carbonara. I prepare the sauce wothout the eggs, so it is just heavy cream, garlic, parmesan and white wine. So, basically I've been making Alfredo sauce this whole time…Anyhow, it is so damn delicious and I would love to put some shrimp in it.
Cheers,
Concrete Polishing Fulham

I just tried the recipe. Very yummy! I didn't have any cajun spices or green onions, so I just used old bay and with some chili powder and italian parsley. It worked great. Thanks for this recipe!

Kevin–what brand of Cajun Seasoning do you use? I made this recipe and used less Cajun than written and it was still way too salty. Not too hot just too salty. It had great potential, I'll try it again (hubby is heading to Alaska and will bring home fresh shrimp). I'm ordering some Cajun Seasoning from Penzy's. I have had great luck with their spices. Thanks for all your great recipes. I turn to your blog often for menu inspiration.
Gina says
Tony Cheri now has a no salt version. I ordered mine from Amazon! 🙂
kevin says
Cindy: It's actually not easy to find here so I usually use a homemade blend. Click through the link on the cajun seasoning in the recipe above to see the seasoning recipe.
Cindy says
Thanks Kevin for your prompt response. Your recipe for Cajun seasoning looks great–can't wait to try it. The Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich looks amazing too. I pinned it for later. Thanks again.

I just made this for dinner and it was awesome! Very easy and the sauce was perfect. I added some cherry tomatoes and some parsley to lighten it up a bit and served it with roasted asparagus. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dish. I always cut up some chicken breast, season it up with blackened seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. I season the shrimp the exact same way. Then I follow directions exactly. This is one of my favorite dishes and the hubby and son loves it.
Erin Gifford says
Made this last night for dinner. So quick. So easy. So delicious. Perfect for a family. Thanks, Kevin!

I have been looking for a REAL cajun pasta recipe forever! Every other one I came across had all fake ingredients and just lacked any real cooking. This was the best recipe. I loved how I was able to make a light and delicious cream sauce. I used Light Cream instead of heavy and it was still fantastic. I also threw in some pecorino romano cheese along with the parmesan. I would recommend to anyone cooking this for the first time to grate the parmesan cheese themselves. Makes a huge difference with taste/texture. THANK YOU FOR THIS RECIPIE!!!!
Kelsey White says
Kevin, if I want to make a whole box of pasta, should I just double all of the ingredients?
kevin says
Kelsey White: Yes, that would work and give you a lot more servings!
Anonymous says
Delicious!! Easy, quick and better than most restaurant dishes. Thanks Kevin for sharing your wonderful recipes- they never disappoint.
Monique Shurray says
The sauce was so good! However, the brand of Cajun seasoning I used (Tony Chacheres) left my shrimp way too salty. Next time I will use a different brand or create my own blend from this recipe. I will definitely try again.

Made this dish tonight and it was delicious. I didn't taste much of the cajun seasoning so I had to add more than the recipe suggests, but that's an easy fix. The sauce was PERFECT. Thank you! I paired it with my baked pesto-stuffed portobello mushrooms and it went so well.
kevin says
Sandy: I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Lexy says
Ooooooh…looks delish, as usual with your recipes 🙂
Kevin, I really like using the precooked shrimp….any words of wisdom I should be aware of when exchanging for non-cooked shrimp?

Yum Yum and more Yum! Made this last night and it was awesome! I doubled everything for the sauce and added a little more butter. I substituted chicken for shrimp. Amazing flavor

This was delicious! Very rich and creamy, and quick to make. The only change I made was that I marinated the shrimp in the Cajun seasoning before cooking. It was fabulous. Thanks for the great recipe.

Thawed shrimp.
Lindi Phillips says
this sound really yum, but unfortantely, I am allergic to all things chili and curry, very mild tolerance to sweet and smokey paprika, could you please suggest something I could use in place of, it seems everybody adds chili to just about everything . Have tried making things just without the hot things but always needs something else… Thankyou in advance

LOVE this dish!!!! I have made this several times, restaurant quality yet so easy!!! I use McCormick perfect pinch Cajun seasoning (no msg) I use the amount called for in this recipe and it’s not to salty at all… I am not a salt person!! Thanks for this dish!!!

Made this tonight with the more spicy Tony Cachere’s Creole seasoning, wow! Restaurant quality and then some. And so quick and easy, no marinating, no waiting for a pressure cooker to get up to presssure. Added to my weeknight rotation.
