Today I have another tasty and easy to make syrup for you, a fresh blackberry syrup! Homemade syrups could not be easier to make, where you simply simmer the blackberries along with sugar and water, along with a hit of lemon juice for extra freshness, until the flavour of the blackberries has been extracted before straining the solids. This blackberry syrup is perfect on pancakes, waffles, etc or used as a sweetener in drinks like teas. No matter what you use this blackberry syrup in, it's sure to please!

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 15 minutes Servings: 32(~ 2 cups or 32 1 tablespoon servings)

A quick and easy blackberry simple syrup that is perfect for everything from smothering pancakes to using in drinks like blackberry limeade!

  • 2 cups blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  1. Bring everything to a boil, in a large saucepan, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes before removing from heat to cool and straining the solids from the syrup.

Note: Store in a sealed container in fridge and enjoy within 2 weeks.
