Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

Hi,
Recipe looks delicious.
Question; do you use cooked shrimp or uncooked shrimp?
Also, is there a Thai brand of hot sauce that you especially like?

HI Kevin. A question for you: would it be possible to make these ahead of time and re-heat later in the oven? I would like to serve them at a happy hour I'm planning but for obvious reasons don't want to be frying things when my guests are here. If you think it's possible, should they be cooked and frozen before re-heating, or should they be cooked in the AM and re-heated later in the day?

Kevin - I have had these in restaurants (when we were able to go to restaurants) and they are delicious. Your sauce sounds so wonderful that I'm sure I'm going to have to at least double the recipe!

It's so interesting to see the differences between Chinese-Indonesian food that is served in takeaway restaurants here in The Netherlands, and the Chinese food that is traditional to North-America! I have never tried these Bang Bang Shrimp before but it seems to be a very popular dish, like General Tso's Chicken? Well if you are ever interested in trying Indonesian food you should definitely give some recipes a try like Daging Smoor or Nasi Rames.

Have you thought of writing a hardcopy book with all this good, luscious stuff in it? YOU are the BEST!! Can't say enough good things about your site and recipes!

JoyceK: The sweet chili sauce that I am familiar with is a Thai ingredient, though there may be a Chinese equivalent. You can also make your own by clicking through the link in the recipe! Enjoy!
