I've been wanting to try these, and when we had a slow spell at work, I threw a handful of rings into the deep fryer. Big mistake. I was going by (faulty) memory and forgot they were supposed to go into the oven. About half the breading fell off–earning me a dirty look from the grill cook–but I was able to tell what they should taste like, properly done. They were great. I think I'll make them for Labor Day–and do it right this time. Thanks.
