The farmer’s market here in Halifax has some great fresh stuff, BUT…

it’s a) more of a social gathering place than a market and gets crowded by 9am
b) not as much variety -only 1 or two butchers and fishmongers (although these sell their own very fresh from the ocean fish & shellfish)

As for the fava bean pesto..I will definitely give it a try. Thanks for sharing with Presto Pasta Nights and check back for the roundup tomorrow.

I got them at the farmers market at the St Lawrence market. That place it great in the summer. So many fresh fruits and vegetables. I go every Saturday.
