Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

Delicious recipe! Thank you for sharing! I cut back on the brown sugar a bit, and added a dash to 1/8 tsp of these ingredients: cardamon, turmeric, chili powder, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon.
I made this last (southern) summer and despite making a triple batch, it was all gone by the middle of autumn. This year I am going to make a year's worth - about eight batches worth! That is how dedicated I am to this recipe. I loved it with curry, I loved it with cheddar and fresh baked bread, I just loved it. Thanks for sharing.

Kevin - I made a small batch tonight. I did use the apple cider vinegar and it worked out great! I omitted the cardamom simply because I didn't have any. Used a finely chopped red bell pepper instead of the chili, as well as crystallized ginger since I was out of the fresh kind. The spices that you put into your recipe are just amazing, each one is so special and together they were incredible!
