I should have read the comments first. Mine turned out very thin. I think you need to make these again and tweak your recipe. I’ll use the comments above and try again.

My first batch baked very thin. I will try the suggestions for adding more flour and chilling the dough before hand.

I made these last Saturday, and even though I drained the cherries well and blotted them with a paper towel, the dough was very wet and the cookies turned out extremely soft – even with a couple of extra minutes in the oven. Almost more like candy than cookies (my husband ate them, anyway, though). Undaunted, I tried the recipe again the next day using dried cherries that I'd snipped to make the pieces a little smaller. The only other change I made was to add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans. Success! I'm about to make another batch.

Just made these, family loved them, first time I've baked cookies. I'm a huge fan of maraschino cherries as it is. So yummy 🙂
