Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

Switch that - I meant the pinker one appears to have no chocolate in it, while the brown one appears to have chocolate - sorry!

I agree with the other commenter - the photos look like 2 different cheesecakes - one with chocolate (the pink crushed canes are easily distinguishable) and one without (appears to contain chocolate plus the canes); I'm confused. I'd naturally eat either - or both! But it would be nice to see if they are indeed 2 variations on the same recipe - this wasn't addressed in the answer you provided.

If you want ganache to flow down sides, take if off before you put on the ganache

I usually leave the sides on till I serve it or maybe even beyond that. Easier to store that way and keeps the mess down

The ganache goes on after the cheesecake has been cooled. Enjoy!

I normally melt all of the chocolate chips into the cream but sometimes I leave some of them whole so that you get that nice solid chocolate texture when you bite into it!
