Mine did actually come out quite well as bars. I didn't have pecans on hand, so my dough was probably not as crumbly as yours. I also let them cool completely before I cut them.

I think it was just not enough moisture in the mix. What i did when i took it out was drizzle 1/4 cup of butter over the tope and then popped it back in for five minutes and it turned out PERFECTLY!
