Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

Delicious! I did not add the quinoa, and I substituted turnips for potatoes, but otherwise followed the recipe. Absolutely delicious. I think any root vegetable would be really good if you want something other than potatoes - rutabaga, parsnip, sweet potato...just depends on the flavor profile you're looking for. This recipe is a keeper!

Being 50% German I jumped on this recipe!! In the past our family used to make our own sauerkraut but I now just buy it. This recipe reminded me of the meals we used to have in my childhood. I'll definitely be making this recipe soon.

Dear God in Heaven! A seriously delicious soup! The only deviation was adding 1 tsp of caraway and 2 bay leaves. No quinoa. Garnished it with a dollop of sour cream and stone ground mustard as you suggested plus a little sprinkle more of Hungarian hot Paprika. My husband inhaled it! Love this recipe!

I've been making sour kraut soup for years now. Sometimes, I'll put in some corned beef for a little different flavor. Then I just don't add the bacon. You could put some crimbled bacon on top of you like. Might be a little to salty though.
