Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

15/10/24 hi Kevin I’m a bit confused can you tell me is the Apple cider vinegar, mustard and maple syrup mixture just for brushing over the pork chops or is it to be mixed in with the ingredients the soya sauce, mustard , miso paste, sriracha and garlic and then all cooked in a pan together.
Thanks Bev

Um, I've never sauteed apples before. Don't you need to saute them in butter or something? Looks like a great recipe...maybe a bit heavy on the sauce. In some of your pictures, you cannot even see the pork.

Hi Kevin! I made this recipe Monday night. My husband and I loved it. I knew we would because we love mustard and pork. I did brine my pork chops for a few hours before I cooked them. We have lake flies hatching on Lake Michigan so I cooked on top of the stove. Kristine, I didn't have miso (I also live in small town but I ordered some from Amazon the next day) and the recipe was still delicious! I also didn't have apples but I will make this again in the autumn! I served with a boiled yukon gold potato and green beans. What a delicious dinner! Thank! Love your blog!

We just had this for dinner and it was fantastic. Instead of miso paste I used a combo of tomato paste and soy sauce (Google that substitution) and I used Granny Smith apples. Served with a sweet potato "souffle" on the side, it was an absolutely perfect dinner for this chilly New England day - we actually saw a few snowflakes as we ate! Thank you Kevin.<br />
