Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

These are the only sloppy joes my picky kids will eat - I've tried many recipes to find a suitable one, and something's always been off in the flavor/texture profile. We've been happily making this in our regular dinner rotation for several months now. Thank you for a wonderful, simple, and quick to make recipe that's held up every time we've tried it.

Kevin, this looks just like what I've been searching for. I remember sloppy joes from many years ago and have tried to duplicate it, but all the recipes I've found do the ketchup, mustard and brown sugar thing, which doesn't taste like the sloppy joes that I remember. This sounds good, and I will definitely give it a try soon!. Thanks much.

Hi, love your site and was just reading your Sloppy Joe sandwich. For years my kids have loved "Spoonburgers" served either on toast or toasted hamburger buns.
The recipe is simple
1 lb hamburger
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1 can creamed corn
tomato ketchup.
Method: Cook hamburger with onion and green pepper, drain, add 1 can creamed corn plus ketchup to taste (I use about 1/2 cup more or less), salt and pepper to taste Serve over toast or toasted hamburger buns.
