Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

Never apologise for something you don't know.
It isn't ignorance, it's just something you haven't been taught.
No shame in that!

Rita: We use apple sauce for many different things.
It is great as a side for pork. Just put some right on the plate, or in small individual bowls and dip your piece of pork in it.
It can be used as a snack or dessert.
It can be used on pancakes.
If is a bit thick you can spread it on your toast.
Can also be used as a substitute for liquid in baking.
So many things, use your imagination.

Hi Kevin!
This sounds great. I went on the site you had tagged.
I have to say your darker apple sauce looks much more appealing.
Did you do yours the whole 50 minutes?
Is there a reason you left the cardamon out?

I'm going to pick apples up when I do groceries and try this.
I'll let you know how it turns out.

I’d love to know if your canning of this was successful. I think I’m going to try!

Irish Fancy: I use a non-alcoholic apple cider which is basically an unfiltered and unsweetened apple juice here. Apple juice would be the best option!

I just made this doubled, with gala apples, cloves and nutmeg. I also substituted pure maple syrup for the brown sugar. Very tasty. My kitchen smells divine.
