Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

The shrimp is raw. Remove the shells and then soak the shrimp in the baking soda overnight. You can either make the broth with the shells on the day that you peeled the shrimp or you can store the shells in the fridge to make the broth the next day. Enjoy!

Am I to assume that the shrimp are raw ( still in the shell) when you soak them in B.Soda or do you remove the shell first?
This sounds delicious. I usually make my wonton with pork but will definitely try your way.

Really delicious and light. I made only two tiny changes, substituting shrimp broth as my wonton broth and fish sauce for the oyster since I prefer the taste of anchovy to oyster. Thank your for posting this amazing recipe Kevin!

Your pictures look like you have also added baby bok choy and shitake mushrooms to it? If so, how long do you cook those in the broth before putting in the wontons?
