But you can’t put your potatoes in the oven, then go to work, and then come home to already ready perfectly baked potatoes that are not overdone . . . can you? If you are retired or at home all of the time there is no advantage, but if you want a nice slow gentle cook over an extended period of time with no need to “check on it” . . . then slow cooker baked potatoes are totally make sense.
