Cooking adventures in a small, closet sized, kitchen. - I came to realize that my meals were boring and that I had been eating the same few dishes over and over again for years. It was time for a change! I now spend my free time searching for, creating and trying tasty new recipes in my closet sized kitchen.

the baking soda should be 1/2 tsp for the proper proportion to cream of tartar. this is 1/2 the traditional recipe in my Betty Crocker cookbook, but her recipe makes twice as many cookies and also uses 1Tsp soda, but 2 tsp of cream of tartar. I just finished making and the soda taste is overwhelming. So next time I will reduce the soda to 1/2 tsp. bummer

In reply to <a href="https://www.closetcooking.com/snickerdoodles/#comment-81728">Maggie Weston</a>.

It should be baking "soda" and cream of tartar with no baking powder. Enjoy!

Adding these to my holiday list of "things to cook and bake" - they look absolutely fantastic. I am a terrible baker (things always burn or come out raw), but I think this might be my saving grace. Happy holidays!
