Queso or chile con queso is a Tex-Mex dish that is a melted cheese sauce with chilies! There are various ways of making queso and this salsa verde queso is a super simple version where cheese is melted into salsa verde! It’s as easy to make as warming salsa verde and melting cheese into it! I like a combination of cream cheese and Monterey jack cheese but you can use pretty much any melty style cheese that you like! This salsa verde queso is great for dipping tortilla chips into or pouring over nachos, both of which are perfect for snacking on game day!
Salsa Verde Queso
A super easy and tasty salsa verde queso or nacho cheese sauce!
- 2 cups salsa verde
- 4 ounces cream cheese, warmed
- 1 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded
- Place the salsa verde and cheeses in a sauce pan and warm over medium heat until the cheese has melted into the salsa!
Option: Garnish with cilantro, green onions, jalapenos, etc.
