I had some blueberries left over and I was looking for a something to do with them. I came across a dessert called a fool. A fool is basically pureed fruit folded into whipped cream. A simple cool treat for warm summer days. With all of the fresh fruits and berries around right now there are a lot of choices.
Blueberry Fool
ingredients
- 1/4 cup whip cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup blueberries (pureed)
directions
- Whip the cream and sugar.
- Fold in the pureed blueberries.
- Garnish with some whole blueberries.

I love fools (that sounds… funny?). Simple and elegant. You can’t go wrong there!

I love blueberries! This looks so simple. Did you make your own whip cream?

This looks great! I love nice simple desserts like this. I rarely make them, I have a tendency to go overboard which means I often miss out on the nice simple ideas…

Although Fool is simple to prepare and has few ingredients it’s big on flavour!!!!We sometimes forget that we don’t have to make elaborate dishes to impress our guests. Most often it is the great company that makes the meal.. but, a nice dessert and a glass of wine doesn’t hurt!!!

This looks beautiful! I love fresh fruit with whipped cream, but I didn’t know it was called a fool! How funny!
Try papaya with whipped cream sometime. It is delicious!
