Banana and Nutella Crepes

[heart_this] · Feb 9, 2008 · 23 Comments

Nutella and Banana Crepes

What a busy week! It seems that I completely missed World Nutella Day. I enjoy nutella but I do not seem to have it all that often. Seeing all of the excellent nutella posts got me to craving some nutella. My favorite way to enjoy nutella is a simple nutella and banana slice sandwich. It seems that I also missed Pancake Tuesday and seeing all of the pancakes and crepes had me craving them as well. I decided to combine the two and made nutella and banana crepes. Crepes are pretty easy to make at home and they are nice and light and so good when they are still warm from the pan. The still warm crepes started to slightly melt the nutella making it even creamier. I think that I have found my new favorite way to enjoy nutella.
I also recently tried adding nutella to oatmeal and really enjoyed it.

I love pancakes, I love bananas, and you have Nutella, too, that’s a brilliant combination.

You really made my day !
I am trying to ” eat down ” the pantry as well as the freezer and was sitting here with a cupo of organic, home roasted and hand ground coffee thinking of what I could have for a special Sunday breakfast from either the pantry or freezer….and hit the jackpot reading your blog.
I have frozen crepes ( made by me and then frozen) I have bananas ( the tiny Dominican ones ) and I have a hazelnit-chocolate cream that should be similar to Nutella….maybe I’ll add a drop of Kalhua or the Banana Liqueur I have….or make it flambΓ©e …it’s Sunday after all.
    I know I am repeating myself…..but I really like your blog…..
BTW: I have done the same with Peanutbutter and Bananas and it’s also very good but a bit more rustique……

    Greetings,

Honestly, an occasion for Nutella just doesn’t exist – I can shamelessly eat it with a spoon straigh out of the jar. Your post is so simple yet so appealing – but can you only just have one???? Methinks not.

I’ve been seriously wanting to make crepes for weeks now and I keep seeing them pop up here and there on different blogs and articles. It’s meant to be! I must make them!

Well, I went and looked at your link for crepes. They really do sound not too difficult, but still I can’t bring myself to try.

Looks fabulous, and I’m glad you at least got to catch the World Nutella Day round-up! And as I also wrote about oatmeal recently, I’ve been thinking of dropping a spoonful of Nutella in there too…great minds πŸ˜‰

This looks too good. I haven’t had chocolate-bananas crepes in a while. I guess I should put this on my list ‘to do’.
