ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pound asparagus trimmed
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (~1/2 lemon)
- 1/4 cup almond slices or slivers, toasted
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
directions
- Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat until it is bubbling, add the asparagus, cook until cooked, about 2-3 minutes and set aside.
- Add the butter to the pan and cook until it browns, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the almonds and cook until lightly toasted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice and parsley, season with salt and pepper and remove from heat.
- Serve the asparagus covered in the sauce.
