Gingered Cranberry Sauce

[heart_this] · Oct 15, 2010 · 9 Comments

Gingered Cranberry Sauce

No roast turkey dinner is complete without an accompanying cranberry sauce! Because a Thanksgiving dinner is such a production, I wanted to keep the cranberry sauce simple and yet I did not want it to be the same old cranberry sauce from last year. Cranberry sauce is particularity good with this as it is easy to add simple flavours and this time I went with some freshly grated ginger. The ginger added a nice hint of the exotic to the cranberry sauce without overpowering it and without detracting from the enjoyment of that turkey and cranberry sauce flavour combo.

Great cranberry sauce! I made a spiced one this year with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves with a touch of orange.

I love the addition of ginger to cranberry sauce. It compliments that tartness so wonderfully!

This is an absolutely delicious recipe. We prepared some on Sunday to go with roast turkey breast, and we loved it. We plan to make it again at Thanksgiving time.

I just finished making this tonight for tomorrow's dinner and it's delicious, I love that it's easy to make and uses only 4 ingredients.
