Although Thanksgiving dinner is always amazing it is the leftovers that I like the most! In particular, may favourite way to enjoy some of those leftovers is a roasted turkey sandwich stuffed full with cranberry sauce. After enjoying a few of those sandwiches this year it was time to try something new, a Cuban style leftover turkey sandwich that I came across last year on Panini Happy . The Cuban sandwich generally consists of roast pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard and this Thanksgiving leftovers version uses roast turkey rather than the pork and it adds a healthy dose of cranberry sauce to the mix. With all of the cranberry sauce, mayo and mustard in these sandwiches, they can be a bit messy but they are definitely worth it! The cranberry sauce works surprisingly well with all of the other flavours in this sandwich, so well in fact that you will hardly notice all of the cranberry sauce and mayo dripping down your chin after taking that last bite.

I often wonder what I look forward to more…reading about what you cooked on thanksgiving or reading about what you made the day after. These look awesome.
Mmmmm… look at that! I love the idea of incorporating cranberry sauce into a Cuban sandwich!
The cuban is one of my favorite sandwiches, and yours looks fantastic! I agree with you that Thanksgiving leftovers are even better than the first time around. I may not be able to wait until the holiday to make this awesome sandwich :).
Love the concept Kevin!
I'd be very happy if I was served this! Good presentation!
That sandwich looks so good!
Cheers,
Rosa
looks so salivating
This sandwich makes me wish Thanksgiving was already over. I can't wait to give this one a try, it looks mouthwatering delicious!
Isn't this a surprisingly tasty sandwich? Glad to decided to give it a try!
I just discovered your blog and am so glad that I did. This looks DELICIOUS! What a great use for turkey. I'm definitely going to try this after Thanksgiving. Thanks for thr great idea and recipe.
I love the way that over the past few days you built up to this point rather than the actual Thanksgiving Dinner! We don't have thanksgiving in the UK but the same goes for Christmas… if there's one thing I look forward to most is a left-over turkey and coleslaw sandwich!
Hey Kevin, dropping by to say hi. Been missing your delicious posts.
Leftovers are wonderful in a sandwich!!! Love the colours that your ingredients make together
This is really something that looks so delicious. I like it. And the presentation is nice.
There's another Cuban sandwich that's actually very similar to what you made. It's called an Elena Ruth sandwich after the lady who came up with it. It's basically sliced turkey, cream cheese, and strawberry preserves on cuban bread. Here's a link:

Now that is one colourful looking sandwich!
That looks seriously delicious…cant wait to try it!
One word….GORGEOUS!!!!!
This version of turkey sandwich is truly mouth-watering! One can serve this as a snack or light dinner at home instead of buying take out from a fastfood chain. Thanks for sharing!
This is so good. All your pictures make me drool. I am going to add this to my Mouth Watering Mondays post this Monday. Cheers, Tara
