Now that I had my apple chutney I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it but first I wanted to take a quick detour. I had recently made and really enjoyed a turkey salad sandwich where I included some apple and I thought that using apple chutney in a turkey, or in this case, a chicken salad sandwich would be even better. I also remembered making a mango chicken salad sandwich a while ago that was so good! There is just something magical about the fruity chutney and tangy mayo flavour combination! This sandwich is pretty much just a basic chicken salad sandwich with the addition of some curry powder, the apple chutney and some dried cranberries and toasted pecans to give the sandwich a holiday feel to it. The curried chicken salad sandwich with apple chutney was so good! The chutney and mayo combination was amazing and it worked just as well in apple form as it did in mango form. I have a feeling that I will be enjoying a few more of these sandwiches over the next little while.

What a great sandwich. Love that you are experiencing so much in the kitchen Kevin.
Love apples and chutney – that sandwich looks delicious. Thanks Kevin! 🙂
I love a good chicken salad Sammie and this one sounds great…
mmmm, that looks terrific!
Yummy for my tummy… I love your recipes. Incidentally, I am a diabetic and consciously watch my sugar intake, do you have recipes that are low in sugar? If not wondering if I can use sugar substitute for recipes that call for too much sugar! hmmmm
I love chicken salad sandwiches with apples. I must try your chutney recipe. Looks amazing!
The apple chutney sounds like a great addition!
Perfect, Kevin! I'm a major fan of curried chicken sandwiches. And the addition of apple chutney is just terrific!
Curry, chicken apples…….yip, you have the perfect ingredients for a perfect sandwich. Mouthwatering Kevin!!!
Perfect! That combo is so mouthwatering!
Cheers,

Now, that's what I call a sandwich!
Looks delicious. I could use one right now! Either that or one of the turkey salad and cranberry sauce. 🙂
Mmmm delicious! Back when I lived at home there was a deli that made a rockin' chicken salad sandwich w/ apples, cranberries, and pecans. Delicious combo! Love the curry addition!
a wonderful combination of flavours, it looks so yummy! cheers
First of all, the chutney looks amazing. So much spice and flavor!
Second of all, great idea to pair the spiciness and tartness of it with the fat of mayo in the chicken salad. Perfect pair.
Now that is ONE killer sandwich!!! Chicken salad is my fav but at this level youve taken it…amazing!
Kevin, this is one perfect sandwich!
Great combination of flavors. The only thing I'd change would be a personal thing, I'd dice the celery up. For some reason I love the flavor of celery but can't stand thick chunks.
Fantastic picture too!
I love curry in chicken salad, and I love apples in chicken salad. It stands to reason I would love apples in curried chicken salad! 🙂 Looks lovely!
Oh yum! I love curried egg-and I think curried chicken is a fab idea! A little tangy apple chutney adds to the sweetness!
I want this sandwich. Right. Now.
This is such a great idea! Interesting combination of flavors. Great job1
Kevin that is the best picture of a sandwich I have ever seen! Makes me want to just reach out and give it a big bite!!
This is an incredibly delicious combination. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon your blog while looking for some fresh ideas. I'm a caterer, so for the sake of time, I'll admit that I cheated just a bit and purchased some chicken salad from a good deli. Then doctored it up and added the curry, cranberries, pecans, and made the apple chutney to mix in, and voila… instant awesomeness! I can't wait to serve this tomorrow. Thank you! 😀
Looks really appetizing! Superb!
This treat is what I need today! Super stressed.
