Shortly after I started food blogging I tried using peanut butter in a savory dish for the first time and I really enjoyed it. Recently, when I came across the concept of a Thai style burger with peanut sauce I knew that I would have to try making some. I wanted to try making the burgers with turkey as I had enjoyed it so much the last time. Since the most important ingredient in these burgers was the peanut sauce I decided to go with the peanut sauce from the moo satay that I had liked so much. I have also been enjoying using fresh herbs in my burgers this summer so I added some green onions and cilantro to these burgers. The spicy peanut burgers came together easily and this time they held together nicely. I served the burgers with even more yummy peanut sauce poured on them. I might have used a little too much peanut sauce as it was dripping all over. The burgers were so moist and tasty that it hardly mattered that they were a little messy. I just can’t seem to get enough of that peanut sauce! I wonder what I can use it with next?

That sauce looks so good all over that burger!!!
That’s why peanut butter is the best! It works in desserts and savoury dishes. And.. there is no such thing as too much peanut butter!!
That peanut sauce looks killer! I love the flavour combinations here.
I’m not sure I like the idea of all that peanut sauce on top, but if you say it’s good, I believe you. 🙂
I can eat peanut sauce like that with a spoon.
Goodness! I mean peanut sauce goodness! You might wanna try it it in this indonesian dish called ‘gado gado’ I’m sure you can find the recipes easily!
Wrong! You can never have too much peanut sauce 😉 It’s one of my favorite things! Yum!
Oh you are the bufger king!!! So many different ideas. very inspiring.
I have a great dish that I make frequently with pasta and fresh vegetables with peanut sauce spooned over, topped with crushed peanuts or cashews and a sprinkling of fresh cilantro (or coriander as we call it here). Everyone that tastes it wants the recipe! Your left over sauce would be perfect for that.
I love peanut sauce in savory dishes. Great idea to use it on a burger! I use mine as a dipping sauce for chicken skewers. I’ll have to try it on a burger next!
I am not a huge fan of Turkey Burgers but this looks divine!
We loooove peanut butter sauces in this house, and this turkey burger would be devoured in seconds. Another great post from your kitchen!

I have to try cooking with peanut butter again. I did not have a good recipe the 1st time. This looks delicious. I usually make desserts with peanut butter.

What a gourmet burger! The peanut sauce dripping down the burger is killing me! You can never have too much sauce!

this looks amazing! I think you should have a contest on your blog for “dinner with Kevin” and then the winner gets to pick what yummy treats you will make from your blog…
or perhaps you can auction off a dinner and make some money for a charity….
Cheers….

You’ve been doing some mean burguers lately!
Sounds totally delish! I love peanut sauce too.
OHhhh Kev! This is speaking to me, and it’s saying ‘eat me!’
This looks so good, I love Thai food and I could drink peanut sauce from a cup!
I find it so easy to buy it from my nearest Thai restaurant, it’s as good as homemade {for one, because it is, for two, I don’t make it that well!} and I think last time I purchased it , it was all of $1.50 for a 16 oz container. Hello! Could you even make it for that cheap at home?
I will be making this, I’ll let you know how it goes!
Dear Kevin always I thought yours burgers are something tasty and special, look absolutely yummy, maybe try this today because I have turkey right now.

This burger looks amazing! I noticed this recipe calls for panko bread crumbs. Do you happen to know where I can buy them at? I have looked at super walmart as well as a few local grocery stores but cannot find them anywhere.
Bobby: You should be able to find them in the Asian section of a larger grocery store or at your local Asian grocery store. If not, regular bread crumbs would be fine.
I did a double take when I saw this post and picture. I love the concept and the recipe. Well done!
That looks great Kevin. Love the way the peanut sauce is draped over the burger like fudge on a sundae.
Your burger is making me so hungry…I definitely have to give this a try! My fave is Superstore’s PC brand Peanut Satay sauce. Now I just need some ground turkey…
Turkey burgers are great, but often so dry. The peanut sauce will really help moisten them!
You sold me on these with the photo. That sounds like it would be incredibly delicious
So I have to know, where did you come across the recipe for thai burgers with peanut sauce?!?
I’ve never been a huge fan of savoury peanut dishes, but it may be time to revisit that… The burgers look heavenly, but as you say – not first date food 😉
mmm i love peanut sauce! i only wish my hubby would eat it
looks like a turd
I know this is an old recipe/post, but I just gotta tell you we inaugurated our new grill with this recipe. We amped up the chili sauce and combined part of the finished peanut sauce with mayo to create a creamier sauce to top the burger, garnished it with alfalfa sprouts and more fresh cilantro and voila! My entire family–teenagers included–were hooked. This meal will appear on our dinner table over and over again this spring/summer. Thank you!!
