This salad could not be easier, it’s pretty much just slice up some cucumber and onions and toss them in a creamy mixture of yogurt (or sour cream or mayo), lemon juice and garlic and you’re good to go! The cucumbers are just bursting with juices and this creamy dilled cucumber salad is sure to keep you nice and cool and hydrated this summer, especially when served chilled from the fridge!

its like u read my mind sometimes kevin! great salad 🙂
Great recipe! (All of your recipes are fabulous!)
I'm a sucker for sour cream and dill cukes. I have a similar recipe that I add a dollop real mayo and a dash of cayenne pepper to for an added kick.
Nice cool salad for another hot day…thanks
It is very hungry, one of my favorite vegetables cucumber!
This was one of my favorite salads my mom made when I was growing up! Looks fantastic!
This is one of my all time favorite summer salads!
I like this creamy version very very much. Never thought to use sour cream in a salad.
I love that this uses sour cream instead of mayo. Making this? Check!
I love this salad~ It is a summertime fave! We almost always serve it with our teriyaki turkey burgers, the creamy-coolness seems to compiment the tangy-sweet teriyaki perfectly!
This looks lovely I am a huge fan of dill especially when something creamy is involved, delicious.
Here, in Lithuania this salad is very popular :))) Of course, this salad is absolutely cool :DDD
Superb!
This salad was always on the table at my Hungarian grandmother's house. She served several variations of it, adding chopped fresh tomato, omitting the sour cream and dill and adding green onions. Her version always had vinegar, though. It's particularly refreshing when served with fatty/heavy things like fried chicken, hamburgers or grilled sausage. Thanks Kevin!
I love this type of salad and this reminds me I haven't made any cucumber salads with dill this year!
Looks delicious!!! A perfect way to enjoy the last of summer's best! Nice and cool for the last of summer's heat!
This is such a refreshing salad Kevin. Dill goes so well here.
You should really invest into a mandolin since your cuts are uneven and not uniform…
Red onion is such a favorite in salads of any kind. Even when you have something as simple and pure as cukes, the spicy flavor of a red onion really makes it pop. It's great!
I am crazy about cucumber salad. That is my favorite appetizer. It's also delicious with tomatoes, onion and a little bit of vinegar.
You are so right. They don't get the attention they deserve. Now I'm in cucumber mood.
I love the fact that this recipe uses sour cream instead of mayo. This way I don't feel as guilty when I eat it.

This was great! Normally I'm too lazy to buy red onions, and just use the white ones I have lying around. This time I didn't, and wow, that really made a wonderful salad! I'm not going to lazy my way out of red onions any more 🙂 Thanks!
This is so fresh and just perfect for spring. I love fresh cucumber with cream and dill, it all fits perfectly together.
I made this for dinner tonight except I used plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream….I already sneaked a bite and it's super yummy! Thanks for the awesome recipe!
I made this for lunch today! Fabulous! Thank you for the recipe. I'll be adding it to my collection.
A perfect summer barbecue side dish!
What a fun summer salad!
This is great for summer!
I just got a big bottle of Organic Dill, thanks for this recipe, I'll tweak it for different foods. YAHOO!
Can this be ahead of time or is it best to make the same day?
Is this fresh dill or dried?
I use fresh dill but dried works!
I love this recipe. I make it a day ahead of time so it's super cold and the flavors are mingled perfectly.
If you want your cucumber to be crisp, salt it generously, wait 30 minutes, drain and rinse. If you do this your cucumber salad won’t get so watery and mushy. Also, I partially peel and seed the cucumber to minimize wateriness. The dressing sounds good if not watered down with the moisture that is released from the cucumbers after being dressed.
that’s my all time favourite salad
Sòoo yummy

You have way to much junk in the way because we can’t see what we want to see. We don’t want to see 50 ads on the screen just what we clicked on.
That is how they pay for the web site. It isn’t free DUH
A great take on an old family favorite. You have combined the best of the summer cucumber salad “recipes” we inherited from each of our moms. We loved this tonight with salmon.
Thanks,
This was easy to make and very tasty. I used sour cream and dill paste (the fresh dill at the grocer looked like it had seen better days) which added a nice flavour. Served it with meatloaf and grilled potatoes.
I made this with store bought tzatziki and it was so easy. Just add onions and a little lemon…easy peasy!
Can you use any type of cucumbers?
You can use any type of cucumber. I usually go with the English style of cucumber but garden/field cucumbers are also really nice! Enjoy!
I make a version of this, I’ll have to add the lemon juice nice time. Guessing it adds some great flavor.
