Dad loves cheesecake so why not surprise him with a savoury take on cheesecake for dinner this Father’s Day? Jalapeno poppers are one of my favourite foods and they consist of jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar cheese that are coated in breadcrumbs and fried until crispy! Since the poppers are already filled with cream cheese and cheesecakes primary ingredient is cream cheese it only seemed natural to combine the two to make a jalapeno popper cheesecake! But would a savoury cheesecake work? A cheesecake classically has a simple crumb crust and for this one I went with crumbled cheese crackers to start things off nice and cheesy! Next up was the cheesecake batter which is pretty normal with cream cheese, eggs and sour cream along with the cheddar cheese and jalapenos! I wanted this cheesecake to be a nice and satisfying meal so I decided to add some chorizo sausage to the mix! Once the crust and batter are ready you simply bake it like a normal cheesecake and then enjoy it warm from the oven or chilled from the fridge! If your dad loves cheesecakes and poppers then he’ll love this jalapeno popper chorizo cheesecake!
Top with a fried egg with runny yolk!

I couldn't have made this for Father's Day because I would have a hard time sharing this! Some of my favorite things in one recipe. I keep trying to reach into the screen and grab.
Deeply satisfying.
Thinking of doing these in something like mini muffin pans. LOVE the recipe!

Betty: Mini muffin oabs would be amazing!
I make savory cheese cakes frequently. This looks like a good addition to our list. š
(blue cheese is my favorite).
is the chorizo Mexican or Spanish? I do wish the recipes would distinguish which chorizo to use since they so are completely different
The recipe calls for Mexican style fresh/raw chorizo (with casings removed), but you could also use a Spanish style cured chorizo for a nice change!
Making jalapeno popper chorizo cheesecake was the best decision of my life. The recipe turns out so good that everyone in my house are quite possessive about their shares.
5 stars. I hate comments that say, āthat looks great (blah blah blah)ā but the commenter didnāt actually make
It. I made this cheesecake and itās totally going in my
recipe book. Itās original, fun and really yummy. I substituted chord or bacon bc I couldnāt find chorizo- no matter, it turned out great. Canāt wait to make this again!
