Normally when I think about BBQ sauce I think of a sweet and spicy tomato based, red, sauce but there are other kinds of BBQ sauce like this white BBQ sauce. This sauce has a base of mayonnaise along with vinegar for tang, mustard and horseradish for bite, garlic and Worcestershire sauce for flavour, paprika for a bit of smokiness, salt, cayenne and plenty of fresh cracked black pepper! It only takes a few minutes to whip up your own white BBQ sauce and it tastes great slathered on chicken, as a dipping sauce for chicken bites or fingers or mixed in with pulled/shredded meat for sandwiches or salads!

Can this sauce be used to shmeer on the chicken? What can I use instead of horseradish? I've never seen plain horseradish heRe, just mixed with beetroot.

Hello,
Can I ommit or substitute the horseradish? Because in my country is not available.
Thank you,
Claudia

Judy Goldin & Unknown: You can omit the horseradish and I would increase the mustard and black pepper to taste to compensate. Enjoy!

Joyce S says
where can I find creole mustard?
kevin says
Joyce S: You can use a combo of grainy mustard and Dijon mustard in place of the creole mmustard.
Pat A Weiser says
Would this work with half olive oil mayo and half ‘salad creme’ i.e. Miracle Whip?
kevin says
That would work well as a dressing for salad!

What is creole mustard? I’ve never heard of it.🤷♀️😊
kevin says
Creole mustard is a mustard from the Southeastern/Louisiana area, generally containing mustard seeds (coarsely ground), vinegar, horseradish and spices. You can use dijon mustard or yellow mustard instead.
