Burgers and avocados are among my favourite things and combining the two of them only makes them better! These avocado chicken burgers are easy to make and so good! You simply mix ground chicken with garlic, chipotle chili in adobo sauce, cilantro, salt and pepper along with a large avocado cut into huge chunks before forming into patties and grilling. Once cooked, slap them into buns along with your favourite burger toppings, such as bacon, lettuce tomato and mayo, and enjoy!
The avocado chunks make the patties a little fragile so be gentle when flipping them!
I added some gochujang spiked nacho cheese sauce to these ones! Yum!
Avocado Chicken Burgers
Tasty chipotle chicken burgers with large chunks of avocado!
ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 large avocado, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 chipotle chili in adobo sauce, chopped
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free for gluten-free)
- salt to taste
- 4 buns (gluten-free for gluten-free)
- 8 slices bacon, cooked
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
directions
- Mix the chicken, avocado, garlic,cilantro, chipotle chili in adobo sauce, breadcrumbs and salt, divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties approximately 1 inch thick.
- Grill over medium-high heat until cooked through, about 3-5 minutes per side.
- Assemble the burgers and enjoy!
Option: Top with you favourite burger toppings!

This looks fantastic will try this one next week. I have used zucchini in turkey burgers, never thought to try avocado and chicken. Everything else I try from your site has been amazing!
