Grilled asparagus is an amazing spring-summer treat and it’s so easy to make! All you need to do is heat up the grill, toss the asparagus in oil and grill it until lightly charred, tender and all sorts of good! Grilling asparagus adds a nice smokiness to it, making grilling my favourite method of cooking asparagus! Although grilled asparagus is great all by itself, it’s also nice to add a tasty sauce and/or toppings like a simple lemon tahini yogurt sauce sauce seasoned with salt and garlic along with a touch of maple syrup for a balancing sweetness. Grilled asparagus in lemon tahini sauce is an amazing side that I enjoy quite frequently and I sometimes like to turn it into more of a salad with a Mediterranean theme by adding diced tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and kalamata olives. No matter how you serve the grilled asparagus with lemon-maple tahini sauce it’s the perfect side for any summer meal! Tahini is a paste/sauce/butter made with ground sesame seeds, like a sesame seed peanut butter. Many grocery stores will have it in with the specialty nut butters or in the international section or even the health food section.
Slice the asparagus and mix it up!
