The holidays are nearly upon us and that means that it is time get cracking and finish up those homemade food gifts! Nothing says I love you like the gift of homemade food products! Top on my list this year has to be the Maple Bourbon Bacon Jam followed by a close second of Vanilla Bourbon Caramel Sauce. Of course homemade jams, chutneys and marmalades are always a great way to go and if you are feeling like something a little different this year, Candied Orange Peels will keep things fresh. You cannot go wrong giving the gift of cookies, especially not with some homemade gourmet shortbread!

I really like the idea of making candied orange peel. They make quite an impression.
I just have to find me some good organic oranges to do that!

Kevin, these look wonderful! Just a note about the Vanilla Bourbon Caramel Sauce – I am from Tennessee, and if you use Jack Daniels, like you have pictured, you will need to be sure to call it Vanilla Bourbon WHISKEY Sauce. The good people of Lynchburg, Tennessee would be highly offended if you referred to Jack Daniels as bourbon. I know, because I took my dad for a visit and he made that mistake. Our guide was VERY quick to correct him! Anyways, I thoroughly enjoy your posts and have never gone wrong with any of your recipes. Have a VERY Merry Christmas!
