With all of the experimenting that I have been doing with pizzas over the years, the Thai chicken pizza with spicy peanut sauce is one of my favourites. I mean the spicy peanut sauce is surely one of the most addictive substances that I have come across and if you it with ooey gooey melted cheese on a pizza you get something truly irresistible! I was recently reminded of the Thai chicken pizza with spicy peanut sauce when I came across some thing similar, a Thai chicken pizza with sweet chili sauce on How Sweet Eats and I knew immediately that I would have to make it!
Although sweet chili sauce is not as addictive as the spicy peanut sauce it comes close and I often find myself eating it by the spoonful. I could easily see the sweet chili sauce working really well as the sauce on a pizza and I could not wait to try it out! Another thing that I really like about these Thai style pizzas is topping them with fresh ingredients including plenty of herbs after they come out of the oven. Although I was seriously tempted to go with shrimp for this pizza, chicken won out at the last minute and I rounded the toppings off with some sliced red pepper and julienned carrot. For the toppings added after baking, I went with bean sprouts, basil, cilantro and chopped peanuts.
Tip: It is actually really easy to make your own sweet chili sauce at home, though if you want to save time the store bought ones will work just as well.

Honestly the first time I've seen bean sprouts on pizza. Love the idea – wouldnt mind giving it a shot (terrified of attempting pizza dough from scratch).
This look delicious! Now, I'm very hungry! :)))
this sounds amazing!! I love all things thai. I noticed that I kept posting thai recipes on my own site, but it's hard for me to recognize that as a bad thing. haha. I'll have to post my thoughts on this recipe on my blog after I test it out!! http://pinnedbydani.com 🙂

I am one of those cilantro haters, but this looks so delicious.
Love the idea of fresh herbs on pizza 🙂
I tried this .. I now have a new favorite Pizza.. just fantastic!!
I could eat that all day long and not get tired of it. Gorgeous pie, Kevin.
Oh, Imma make this! My boyfriend (and all my friends) loved the kimchi pizza (and quesadillas) that I made with your recipe(s), but he adores Thai peanut sauce! Yay! I wish brownie points were transferable cause I definitely owe you some!
I need to make this one ASAP. Love it.
Just made it and it was delish! When do you suggest putting the red peppers on? Before or after the cheese? Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
Kitty: I like to place the ingredients on top of the cheese so that they can be seen and get slightly charred on the edges when baking.
This looks very yummy and healthier than my usual attempts. 🙂
Just made this last night for dinner and my husband and I LOVED it! Thanks for sharing!
Delicious new twist on pizza night! My only suggestion (warning) is not to overdo the sweet chili sauce like I did – stick to the recommended amount or else it will ooze everything. We enjoyed it nonetheless!
Your recipe shows to put peanuts on before and after baking. Do you recommend one way or the other? Or should I just add half before and half after? I have been following you and enjoying your recipes for years. Thank you for sharing. And your photos are so impressive.
I’m glad that you have been enjoying my recipes! You can add the peanuts before or after baking. I generally add them after if they are roasted peanuts. Enjoy!
