Today I have a quick, easy and super tasty recipe for sticky honey sriracha chicken bites! This is an Asian style dish where chicken is coated in panko bread crumbs, fried until lightly golden brown and crispy before being tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce. It takes less than 20 minutes to make this meal, so you have plenty of time to cook some rice or pasta to serve it over along with some vegetables to make a complete meal that is easily doable on a busy weeknight. The sauce is a super simple and yet tasty combo of sriracha chili sauce along with honey for the sweet and spicy combo and there is a touch of soy sauce and vinegar to round things out with salty and sour. You can serve the crispy fried chicken tossed in the sauce, with the sauce drizzled over it or even on the side for dipping! No matter how you serve these sticky honey sriracha chicken bites, you are bound to enjoy them!

Agree w above. This looks so good but what is soy ketchup?

Hi Kevin, the tablespoon of soy sauce ketchup…is that supposed to be 2 tbl…one of each? Thanks!
kevin says
Odette Godin: This works great without the breading for a lighter version. I would pan fry the chicken bites in 1 tablespoon oil to cook.
kevin says
Joseph Blazei, Manon Eburne, Janelle Taylor,Unknown: That is a typo! I experimented with a version of the sauce with ketchup in it but I found that it was not required.

Question, has anyone tried this in a Air Fryer?
kevin says
These work well in an air frier!
Liz says
How much oil do you use to fry them in a frying pan?
Liz says
How much oil do you need to fry these please and what type of oil do you use?
kevin says
The amount of oil that you need will depend on the size of pot. You will want about 2+ inches deep of oil for deep frying or 1/4 inch oil for shallow frying. I generally use a neutral flavoured vegetable oil or a peanut oil.
