Up next for my NOLA Mardi Gras theme is a quick and easy cajun/creole spiced shrimp fettuccine alfredo. I really cannot express just how quick and easy this dish is, you pretty much just season the shrimp with a cajun seasoning, cook it in a pan, make the alfredo sauce with cream and parmesan and you are done in less time than it takes to cook the pasta. Despite how easy this dish is, it is also super tasty, I mean you really cannot go wrong with alfredo pasta but then you add some cajun seasoned shrimp and thing only get better! This cajun spiced shrimp fettuccine alfredo is a great weeknight meal for the family but it is also sure to impress guests!

I love all Italian food!! I should have been born with Italian genes since if I see it on a menu, I’ve got to order it. Now a chance to cook it from scratch is a dream come true!!❤❤❤ I’ll probably gain 50#…hopefully not. Keep up the great work finding all these wonderful recipes.
This in not Italian it is Cajun.
MI know my boys would love this! Going to have to try to make a lightened up version for myself ;).
How would you lighten this up
Wow, what a rich pasta dish! nice!
My favourite pasta dish (till now) is the Pasta Carbonara. I prepare the sauce wothout the eggs, so it is just heavy cream, garlic, parmesan and white wine. So, basically I've been making Alfredo sauce this whole time…Anyhow, it is so damn delicious and I would love to put some shrimp in it.
Cheers,
Concrete Polishing Fulham
When I saw these photos, my stomach legit started to growl!!
This is so beautiful! Dinner indeed 🙂
This looks absolutely fantastic! I'm with Julie and the growling stomach!
Wait faster than it take to cook pasta? I'm so making this! LOVE.

What a great combination, looks so good, love the flavor combinations.
Oh this dish looks so tempting. I wish I could have a bowl or two of it now! Lovely photos!
Yummy!! Loving the cajun spice here!
Looks excellent! I think this is going to be dinner tonight, I have all the ingredients at home (I can't eat cow dairy products so I'll use soy milk for the cream)
Dying, dying dying.
Mmm I love using cajun seasoning. This recipe looks so easy to make and sounds so good. I think I know what I'll be making next week for dinner!
This looks so good! It's the perfect weekend dinner!
i love it….
I know better than to come here when I am hungry. This pasta is screaming my name! It looks fantastic Kevin.
Ohhhhhhhh. Yes please I need this pasta!
Looks delish Kevin!
total comfort food!
Absolutely delicious! I added some pepper flakes for spice.
has already been repinned from my pin 952 times so far, as of today! way to go!!
something to look forward to on this grey, dreary April day….thank you once again Kevin!
Very delicious, the consistency of the sauce is magnificent. This is a nutritious and very scrumptious recipe. I believe this the best one out of the other recipes I have tried.
I have seen this in my dreams and now I must make it since it is a reality!!
Made this for dinner added mussels and used linguine instead. Very easy tasty and delicious thanks for sharing the recipe.
Delicious, I didnt have leftovers. My kids loved it!
Anonymous & Anonymous: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Mussels would be great in this!
I just tried the recipe. Very yummy! I didn't have any cajun spices or green onions, so I just used old bay and with some chili powder and italian parsley. It worked great. Thanks for this recipe!
This is phenomenal. Every one of my family of 5 loved this…I had to protect my plate from all 3 of my kids! Thanks!
Anonymous: I'm glad that you and your family enjoyed it!
Kevin–what brand of Cajun Seasoning do you use? I made this recipe and used less Cajun than written and it was still way too salty. Not too hot just too salty. It had great potential, I'll try it again (hubby is heading to Alaska and will bring home fresh shrimp). I'm ordering some Cajun Seasoning from Penzy's. I have had great luck with their spices. Thanks for all your great recipes. I turn to your blog often for menu inspiration.
Tony Cheri now has a no salt version. I ordered mine from Amazon! 🙂
Cindy: It's actually not easy to find here so I usually use a homemade blend. Click through the link on the cajun seasoning in the recipe above to see the seasoning recipe.
Thanks Kevin for your prompt response. Your recipe for Cajun seasoning looks great–can't wait to try it. The Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich looks amazing too. I pinned it for later. Thanks again.
Absolutely amazing and easy to make! My children ask me to make this dish all the time!
I just made this for dinner and it was awesome! Very easy and the sauce was perfect. I added some cherry tomatoes and some parsley to lighten it up a bit and served it with roasted asparagus. Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dish. I always cut up some chicken breast, season it up with blackened seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. I season the shrimp the exact same way. Then I follow directions exactly. This is one of my favorite dishes and the hubby and son loves it.
Made this last night for dinner. So quick. So easy. So delicious. Perfect for a family. Thanks, Kevin!
Awesome dish! Husband and I loved it. Will definitely make again!
I have been looking for a REAL cajun pasta recipe forever! Every other one I came across had all fake ingredients and just lacked any real cooking. This was the best recipe. I loved how I was able to make a light and delicious cream sauce. I used Light Cream instead of heavy and it was still fantastic. I also threw in some pecorino romano cheese along with the parmesan. I would recommend to anyone cooking this for the first time to grate the parmesan cheese themselves. Makes a huge difference with taste/texture. THANK YOU FOR THIS RECIPIE!!!!
Kevin, if I want to make a whole box of pasta, should I just double all of the ingredients?
Kelsey White: Yes, that would work and give you a lot more servings!
Delicious!! Easy, quick and better than most restaurant dishes. Thanks Kevin for sharing your wonderful recipes- they never disappoint.
The sauce was so good! However, the brand of Cajun seasoning I used (Tony Chacheres) left my shrimp way too salty. Next time I will use a different brand or create my own blend from this recipe. I will definitely try again.
AAAAAAHHHH sop hungry
Made this dish tonight and it was delicious. I didn't taste much of the cajun seasoning so I had to add more than the recipe suggests, but that's an easy fix. The sauce was PERFECT. Thank you! I paired it with my baked pesto-stuffed portobello mushrooms and it went so well.
Sandy: I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Ooooooh…looks delish, as usual with your recipes 🙂
Kevin, I really like using the precooked shrimp….any words of wisdom I should be aware of when exchanging for non-cooked shrimp?
I made this tonight. I was delicious. My 12 y.o. loved it. Great dish.
This looks better than the cheesecake factory!
Yum Yum and more Yum! Made this last night and it was awesome! I doubled everything for the sauce and added a little more butter. I substituted chicken for shrimp. Amazing flavor
deweycutie: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Chicken is a great alternative to shrimp in this!
How do I email or past on Facebook this recipe. It is definitely a must share.

This was delicious! Very rich and creamy, and quick to make. The only change I made was that I marinated the shrimp in the Cajun seasoning before cooking. It was fabulous. Thanks for the great recipe.
Just made this for dinner tonight after discovering the recipe on Pinterest. Phenomenally delicious! Thank you :o)
RouseCat: I'm glad you liked it!
This looks amazing and I'd like to make it tonight for Fat Tuesday, but I only have 2% milk and no heavy cream. DJ you think that would work?
I make so many of your recipes but I never go to the place where I can thank you and tell you how much I enjoy your emails with recipes and beautiful pictures of your food. So, THANK YOU! You inspire me.
Hi, Kevin! What a flavorful dish… I am eating it with the eyes!It is already on my must-try list.
Hartley2: Thanks! I'm glad you have been enjoying my recipes!
Denise Browning: Enjoy!
Thawed or frozen shrimp when cooking?
Thawed shrimp.
this sound really yum, but unfortantely, I am allergic to all things chili and curry, very mild tolerance to sweet and smokey paprika, could you please suggest something I could use in place of, it seems everybody adds chili to just about everything . Have tried making things just without the hot things but always needs something else… Thankyou in advance
By far, one of our family's favorite meals!! I have to double it to feed 3 grown boys! Thanks for this recipe!
LOVE this dish!!!! I have made this several times, restaurant quality yet so easy!!! I use McCormick perfect pinch Cajun seasoning (no msg) I use the amount called for in this recipe and it’s not to salty at all… I am not a salt person!! Thanks for this dish!!!
Made this tonight with the more spicy Tony Cachere’s Creole seasoning, wow! Restaurant quality and then some. And so quick and easy, no marinating, no waiting for a pressure cooker to get up to presssure. Added to my weeknight rotation.
Made this recipe. Turned out great! I will make it again.
