Bacon Ranch Baked Cheddar Chicken

Bacon Ranch Baked Cheddar Chicken

Chicken topped with ranch seasoned cream cheese and cheddar cheese that’s baked until melted before topping with bacon!

I am currently crushing on the chicken bacon ranch and cheddar flavour combination and this recipe for baked chicken is a fabulous way to enjoy it! This recipe is super easy! You simply mix a ranch seasoning into cream cheese, slather it on top of chicken in a baking pan before sprinkling on cheddar cheese and baking until the chicken is cooked and the cheese is melted. The bacon is sprinkled on after baking along with some diced tomatoes and green onions! While the chicken is baking you can steam a veggie or make a salad to go along with it for one quick and tasty meal!

In this recipe I make a simple ranch seasoning with parsley, dill, chives, onion powder and garlic powder but you can also use a store bought ranch seasoning packet instead.

Wish I could post the picture of mine tonight. I never leave a review or comment unless I actually make the dish. I made it today. 50 minutes in the oven resulted in dry, over cooked chicken. Mine turned out with nice thick cheese on the top, but a very “watery” sauce at the bottom of the pan. Not sure what I did wrong. I followed the recipe to the T.

Did you use a low fat cream cheese. It might have separated.

This was a tasty recipe. I followed other reviewers’ advice and added mushrooms. I didn’t see the need to bake this in the oven. I cooked the entire dish on the stove in a skillet. Came out great with a thick and creamy sauce. To go the stovetop route, cook your chicken and sauté your veggies first, then add the seasoning with all the cheese directly to the skillet. Mix until cheese is melted. Remove from heat, top with green onion, tomato and bacon. Serve abs enjoy!
