Chicken Shawarma Salad

Chicken shawarma in a light and tasty salad packed with tasty ingredients in a cilantro tahini dressing!

Salads make for some really nice summer meals, especially when you add some grilled meat! They are generally quick, easy, light, and healthy! The perfect combo! This salad starts out with some shawarma seasoned chicken that is grilled before being sliced and placed onto a flavour packed salad! The Mediterranean continue in the salad which has a base of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers along with pickled onions and jalapenos, kalamata olives, feta cheese, avocado and a scoop of hummus. Everything is topped off with a really tasty, bright, and fresh cilantro lemon tahini dressing! This chicken shawarma salad is light and yet satisfying meal!

Chicken shawarma in a light and tasty salad packed with tasty ingredients in a cilantro tahini dressing!

ingredients
  • 6 cups lettuce, sliced
  • 1 pound chicken shawarma, sliced
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup hummus
  • 1/4 cup pickled red onions
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup kalamata olives
  • 1/4 cup feta, crumbled
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro lemon tahini dressing
directions
  1. Assemble the salad, pour on the dressing and toss to coat before enjoying!

    Love this recipe! I can’t really get nice pita bread around here so when I want to enjoy shawarma without a subpar grocery store pita this looks really good!
