With many of us staying at home due to COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) I thought that it would be a good idea to collect some of my “pantry friendly” recipes! I define “pantry friendly” as recipes where most of the ingredients can usually be found in your pantry, fridge or freezer. This generally includes foods with a long shelf life like dried beans, lentils, pasta, rice, grains, nuts, or canned/bottled foods like beans, veggies, pickles, preserves, tuna, frozen meats, frozen veggies, eggs, cheeses, etc. There are so many great foods in the pantry just waiting to be enjoyed!
Many recipes can be made more pantry friendly with quick substitutes like using dried herbs instead of fresh, bottled lemon juice vs fresh, frozen spinach vs fresh, etc.
I always find it fun to look at what tasty food that I can make with what’s already in my pantry!
